《中国统计年鉴》

一、《中国统计年鉴——1998》是一部全面反映中华人民共和国经济和社会发展情况的资料性年刊。本书收录了全国和各省、自治区、直辖市1997年经济和社会各方面大量的统计数据,以及历史重要年份和近十年的全国主要统计数据。 二、全书内容分为22个部分,即,1.行政区划和自然资源;2.综合;3.国民经济核算;4.人口;5.从业人员和职工工资;6.固定资产投资;7.能源生产和消费;8.财政;9.物价指数;10.人民生活;11.城市概况;12.农业;13.工业;14.建筑业;15.运输和邮电;16.国内贸易;17.对外经济贸易;18.旅游;19.金融和保险;20.教育、科技和文化;21.体育、卫生、社会福利和其他;22.香港特别行政区主要社会经济指标。另附:台湾省、澳门地区主要社会经济指标;我国经济、社会统计指标同世界主要国家比较。各篇前设《简要说明》对本篇章的主要内容、资料来源、统计范围、统计方法以及历史的变动情况作简要概述,篇末附有《主要统计指标解释》。 三、书中所涉及的全国性统计数据,除行政区划、国土面积和森林资源数据外,均未包括香港特别行政区和台湾省、澳门地区。 四、香港特别行政区的统计是构成国家统计总体的一部分。但根据中华人民共和国“香港特别行政区基本法”的有关原则,香港与内地是两个相对独立的统计区域。两地根据各自不同的统计制度和法律规定,独立进行统计工作。香港特别行政区政府统计部门负责编制和发布反映香港特别行政区情况的统计数据。本年鉴中香港特别行政区统计资料由香港特别行政区政府统计处提供,国家统计局进行编辑。读者在比较内地和香港统计数据时,请注意两地在指标口径上的差别。 五、资料中所使用的度量衡单位均采用国际统一标准计量单位。 六、本年鉴的资料来源大部分来自年度统计报表,一部分来自抽样调查。台湾省和澳门地区统计资料分别来自各自编印的《统计月报》和《统计年鉴》。主要国家和地区统计资料来自联合国出版的有关统计资料。 七、本年鉴部分数据合计数或相对数由于单位取舍不同而产生的计算误差均未作机械调整。 八、本年鉴各表中,有关对全表的注解均在该表上方,对表中部分指标的注解则在该表下方。凡带续表的资料,对部分指标的注解一律在最后一张续表的下方。 九、本年鉴表中的符号使用说明:“…”表示数据不足本表最小单位数;“空格”表示该项统计指标数据不详或无该项数据;“#”表示其中的主要项;“*”或“①”表示本表下有注解;由于版面原因,部分计量单位100000000用10~8表示;10000用10~4表示。 Ⅰ.China Statistical Yearbook 1998 is an annual statistics publication, which covers very comprehensive data series in 1997 and some selected data series in historically impor-tant years and the most recent ten years at national level and local levels of province, autonomous region, and municipalities directly under the central government and there-fore, reflects various aspects of China’s social and economic development. Ⅱ.The book contains the following twenty-two parts, 1. Division of Administrative Areas and Natural Resources; 2. General Survey; 3. National Accounts; 4. Population; 5.Employment and Wages; 6. Investment in Fixed Assets; 7. Production and Consump-tion of Energy; 8. Government Finance; 9. Price Indices; 10. People's Livelihood; 11. General Survey of Cities; 12. Agriculture; 13. Industry; 14. Construction; 15. Trans-portation, Postal and Telecommunications Services; 16. Domestic Trade; 17. Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation; 18. Tourism; 19. Banking and Insurance; 20. Educa-tion, Science and Culture; 21. Sports, Public Health, Social Welfare and Others; 22. Main Social and Economic Indicators of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR). In the appendices listed are Main Social and Economic Indicators of Taiwan Province and the Region of Macao; A Comparison of Economic and Social Indicators Among People’s Republic of China and Other Countries. In brief introduction at the beginning of each part, mainly coverage of this chapter, data sources, statistical cover-ages, statistical methods and historical changes are concerned. In addition, Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are provided at the end of each part. Ⅲ. The national data in this book do not include that of Hong Kong Special Admin-istrtive Region, and Taiwan Province and the Region of Macao except for divisions of administrative areas territory, forest resources. Ⅳ.Statistics of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region constitute an integral part of the natQional statistics of China. According to the principles set forth in the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, statistically Hong Kong and the mainland of Chian are two mutually independent regions, and follow their own and different statistical systems in carrying out independent statistical operation. Statistics on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as included in this Yearbook are provided by the Department of Census and Statistics of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and edited by the State Statistical Bureau. Users are alerted to the difference in the concepts, definitions and coverage of statistics when using and comparing data of the mainland of China and Hong Kong. Ⅴ.The units of measurement used in this book are internationally standard measure-ment units. Ⅵ.The major data sources of this publication are obtained from annual statistical reports, and some from sample surveys. Data of Taiwan and the Region of Macao are collected from Monthly Statistics Bulletin and Statistcal Yesrbook compiled by Taiwan and Macao respectively. Data for major countries and territories are collected from various statistical publications published by the United Naitions. Ⅶ.Statistical discrepancies due to rounding are not adjusted in this book. Ⅷ.The notes concerning the whole table are placed at the upper part of the table, while the notes concerning individual indicators are placed at the lower part. If the table is a continued one, the footnotes are placed in the last page. Ⅸ.Notations used in this book: “…” indicates that the figure is not large enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the table, “(blant)”indicates that the data not available. “#” indicates the major items of the total, “ * or ① ” indicated “see footnotes below”. When the unit is 100000000 we shorten some of them as 10^8. when the unit is 10000 tons or pesons, etc.,we shorten some of them as 10^4 so as to save the space for printing.
