一、《重庆统计年鉴-2009》是由重庆市统计局和国家统计局重庆调查总队编纂、中国统计出版社公开出版发行的一部全面记录重庆市经济建设和社会发展情况的大型资料性年刊。本书收录了重庆市历史重要年份和2008年经济和社会各方面的统计数据，以及各区县(自治县)主要统计资料。 二、全书共二十二章，包括1.综合 2.国民经济核算 3.人口与就业 4.固定资产投资 5.能源消费 6.财政 7.人民生活与物价 8.城镇建设 9.资源和环境 10.要素市场 l1.农业和农村经济 12.工业 13.建筑业 14.运输和邮电 15.国内贸易 16.对外经济贸易和旅游业 17.金融业 18.教育、科技和文化业 19.卫生、体育和其他社会活动 20.区县和开发区 21.三峡工程重庆库区移民 22.基本单位名录库；同时附录一个篇章，收集了全国及各省(自治区、直辖市)主要统计资料。每章前设《简要说明》，介绍本章节的主要内容和资料来源，章末附有《主要统计指标解释》。 三、本年鉴统计资料来源：大部分来自统计年报，部分来自抽样调查。 四、本年鉴所使用的度量衡单位均采用国际统一标准计量单位；各种分类标准均采用国家统一分类标准。 五、本年鉴部分数据的合计数或相时数，由于计量单位取舍不同而产生的计算误差未作机械调整。 六、本年鉴各表的部分指标注解位于该表下方或最后一张续表的下方。 七、本年鉴中符号的使用说明：“…”表示数据不足本表最小单位数：“空格”表示该项统计指标数据不详或无该项数据：“#”表示其中的主要项。 八、本年鉴在编辑、翻译过程中得到诸多单位和同志的大力支持，在此深表谢意。限于我们的水平，加之时间仓促，各界人士在使用资料时如发现错误和不足，恳请提出批评指正。 Ⅰ．Chongqing Statistical Yearbook 2009 is a large annual statistical publication compiled by Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Statistics and NBS Survey Office in Chonqging, which is issued by China Statistics Press openly. It covers not only comprehensive data on Chongqing's social and economic development in 2008 and some selected data series in historically important years, but also the major statistics on all districts (counties). Ⅱ．The yearbook contains 22 chapters, including 1.Comprehensive Statistics, 2.National Economic Accounting, 3.Population and Employment, 4.lnvestment in Fixed Assets, 5.Energy Consumption,6.Government Finance, 7. People's Livelihood and Prices, 8.Urban Construction, 9.Resource and Environment, 10.Markets of Key Factors, 11．Agriculture and Rural Economy, 12.Industry, 13.Construction, 14. Transportation, Postal and Telecommunication Services, 15. Domestic Trade, 16. Foreign Economic Relations, Trade and Tourism, 17. Financial Statistics, 18. Education, Science, Technology and Culture, 19. Public Health, Sports and Other Social Activities, 20.Districts and Development Zones, 21.Resettlement of Chongqing Reservoir Area of Three Gorges Project, 22. Roster of Basic Unit; and the APPENDIX appends main data of the state, province, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the jurisdiction of central government. Brief Introduction is at the beginning of each chapter, includes main coverage of this chapter and data sources. Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are provided at the end of each part. Ⅲ，The major data sources of this publication are obtained from annual statistical reports, and some from sample surveys. Ⅳ.The units of measurement used in this yearbook are international standard measurement units. Sector listed in this book is classified by the standard of country. Ⅴ．Statistical discrepancies due to rounding are not adjusted in this yearbook. Ⅵ. The notes concerning individual indicators are placed at the lower part of the table or the last page. Ⅶ.Notations used in this yearbook:“…”　indicates that the figure is not large enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the table;“(blank)" indicates that the date not available;“＃”indicates that the major items of total. Ⅷ．We are particularly grateful to vigorous assistances of various circles during edition and translation. Due to our limited level and hasty time, faults and shortage are unavoidable.
