一、《重庆统计年鉴—2002》是由重庆市统计局编纂、中国统计出版社公开出版发行的一部全面记录重庆市经济建设和社会发展情况的大型资料性年刊。本书收录了重庆市直辖五年以来的经济社会发展系列分析和统计数据，以及各区县(自治县、市)2001年主要统计资料，全面展示了重庆市1996年到2001年6年间经济社会各方面的建设成就。 二、全书内容由重庆市直辖五周年系列分析报告、五篇二十四章和附录组成，即重庆市直辖五周年系列分析报告：Ⅰ.综合篇，包括1.综合 2.国民经济核算 3.人口与就业 4.固定资产投资 5.能源消费 6.人民生活和物价 7.城镇建设和环境保护 8.各类市场情况；Ⅱ.产业篇，包括9.农业和农村经济 10.工业 11.建筑业 12.交通运输邮电通讯业 13.国内贸易 14.对外经济贸易和旅游业 15.财政、金融和保险业 16.教育、科技和文化业 17.体育、卫生、社会福利和其他；Ⅲ.区县篇，为18.区县(自治县、市)统计资料；Ⅳ.企业篇，为19.各类企业统计资料；Ⅴ.专题篇，包括20.高新技术产业21.重庆市2000年第五次人口普查 22.企业集团、景气调查 23.三峡工程重庆库区移民24.重庆市2000年 R&D 资源清查；附录，收录了全国及各省区市的主要统计资料。每章前设《简要说明》，介绍本章节的主要内容和资料来源，章末附有《主要统计指标解释》。 三、资料中所使用的度量衡单位均采用国际统一标准计量单位。 四、本年鉴的统计资料来源：大部分来自统计年报，部分来自抽样调查；附录中的有关全国及各省区市的统计资料来自中国统计出版社编印的《中国统计摘要》。 五、本年鉴各表中的部分指标注解在该表下方或最后一张续表的下方。 六、本年鉴中符号的使用说明：“…”表示数据不足本表最小单位数；“空格”表示该项统计指标数据不详；“—”表示无该项统计指标数据；“#”表示其中的主要项。 七、本年鉴在编辑翻译过程中得到市内外诸多单位和同志的大力支持，在此深表谢意。限于我们的水平，加之时间仓促，各界人士在使用资料时如发现错误和不足，恳请提出批评指正。 Ⅰ.Chongqing Statistical Yearbook 2002 is a large annual statistics publication compiled by Chongqing Statistical Bureau and issued by China Statistics Press publicly. Chongqing Statistical Yearbook 2002 covers not only the series of analytic reports and comprehensive data of Chongqing's social and economic development from 1996 to 2001, but also the major statistics on all districts (counties) in 2001, reflecting various aspects of Chongqing's social and economic results since the establishment as a Municipality directly under the jurisdiction of Central Government. Ⅱ.The yearbook contains the series of analytic reports on 5th anniversary of Chongqing Municipality, 5 chapters of 24 parts and the appendix: 1. GENERAL SURVEY CHAPTER, including (1) General Survey, (2) National Economic Accounting, (3) Population and Employment, (4) Investment in Fixed Assets, (5) Energy Consumption, (6) Living Standards and Prices,（7) Urban Construction and Environmental Protection, (8) Various Markets; 2. INDUSTY CHAPTER, including (9) Agriculture and Rural Economy, (10) Industry, (11) Construction, (12) Transportation, Postal and Telecommunication Services, (13) Domestic Trade, (14) Foreign Economic Relations，Trade and Tourism, (15) Finance, Banking and Insurance, (16) Education, Science, Technology and Culture, (17)Sports, Public Health, Social Welfare and Others; 3. DISTRICT AND COUNTY CHAPTER, that is (18) Districts and Counties; 4. ENTERPRISE CHAPTER, that is (19) Enterprises; 5. SPECIAL TOPIC CHAPTER, containing (20) High-tech Industry, (21) Fifth Population Census in Chongqing in 2000, (22) Enterprises Groups and Business Survey, (23) Resettlement of Chongqing Reservoir Area of Three Gorges Project and (24) Survey of R&D Resources of Chongqing in 2000; and the APPENDIX appends main data of the state, provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the jurisdiction of central government. Brief Introduction is at the beginning of each chapter，includes main coverage of this chapter and data sources. Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are provided at the end of each part. Ⅲ.The units of measurement used in this yearbook are international standard measurement units. Ⅳ.The major data sources of this publication are obtained from annual statistical reports, and some from sample surveys. Statistics in the APPENDIX come from China Statistical Summary complied by China Statistics Press. Ⅴ.The notes concerning individual indicators are placed at the lower part of the table or the last page. Ⅵ.Notations used in this yearbook: "..."indicates that the figure is not large enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the table; "(blank)" or "-" indicate that the date not available; "#" indicates that the major items of the total. Ⅶ.Thanks for enthusiastic assistances of many units and individuals in the process of edition and translation. Due to our limited level and hasty time, faults and shortage are unavoidable.
