一、《重庆统计年鉴——2000》是一部全面反映重庆直辖市国民经济和社会发展情况的大型资料年刊。本书收录了1999年重庆市经济和社会各方面的统计数据，以及全市40个区县(自治县、市)的主要统计数据。 二、全书内容由四篇十七章、西部特刊和附录组成，即Ⅰ．综合篇，包括1．综合 2．人口与就业 3．固定资产投资 4．能源、原材料消费 5．人民生活和物价6．城市建设和环境保护；Ⅱ．产业篇，包括 7．农业 8．工业 9．建筑业 10．交通运输邮电通讯业 11．国内贸易 12．对外经济贸易和旅游业 13．金融和保险 14．教育、科技和文化 15．体育、卫生、社会福利和其他；Ⅲ．地区篇，为 16．区县(自治县、市)统计资料；Ⅳ．企业篇，为 17．各类企业统计资料；西部特刊；附录，收录了全国、省、自治区、直辖市和副省级以上城市的主要统计资料，以及台湾省、香港特别行政区和澳门特别行政区的主要社会经济指标。篇末附有《主要统计指标解释》。 三、本年鉴的资料来源：大部分来自统计年报，部分来自抽样调查。西部特刊资料来自西部各省(市、自治区)统计局。 四、资料中所使用的度量衡单位均采用国际统一标准计量单位。 五、本年鉴中符号的使用说明： “…”表示数据不足本表最小单位数； “空格”表示该项统计指标数据不详； “—”表示无该项统计指标数据； “#”表示其中的主要项。 六、本《年鉴》在编辑翻译过程中得到市内外许多单位和同志的大力支持，在此深表谢意。限于我们的水平，加之时间仓促，各界人士在使用资料时如发现错误和不足，恳请提出批评指正。 Ⅰ.Chongqing Statistical Yearbook 2000 is a large annual statistics publication, which reflects various aspects of Chongqing’s social and economic development. The yearbook covers not only comprehensive data series of Chongqing's social and economic development, but also the major statistics on 40 districts (counties) in 1999. Ⅱ.The yearbook contains 4 chapters of 17 parts, special issue of western region, and the appendix： 1 GENERAL SURVEY CHAPTER, including (1)General Survey, (2) Popu--lation and Employment, (3) Investment in Fixed Assets, (4) Consumption of Energy and Raw Materials, (5) Living Standards and Prices, (6) Urban Planning and Environmental Protection. 2. SECTOR CHAPTER, including (7) Agriculture, (8) Industry, (9) Con-struction, (10) Transportation, Postal and Telecommunication Services, (11) Domestic Trade, (12) Foreign Economic Relations, Trade and Tourism, (13) Finance and Insurance, (14) Education, Science, Technology and Culture, (15) Sports, Public Health, Social Wel-fare and Others. 3. REGION CHAPTER, that is (16) Districts and Counties. 4. ENTER-PRISE CHAPTER, that is (17) Enterprises, and SPECIAL ISSUE OF WESTERN RE-GION, and the APPENDIX appends main data of the state, provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and cities at provincial level, and main so-cial and economic indicators of Taiwan Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region. Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are provided at the end of each part. Ⅲ.The major data sources of this publication are obtained from annual statistical re-ports, and some from sample surveys. Statistics on SPECIAL ISSUE OF WESTERN RE-GION are from statistics bureau of each province (municipality, autonomous region) in west-ern region. Ⅳ.The units of measurement used in this yearbook are international standard measure-ment units. Ⅴ.Notations used in this yearbook： “…” indicates that the figure is not large enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the table; “（blank)” or “-” indicate that the date not available; “ ＃” indicates that the ma-jor items of the total. Ⅵ. Thanks for enthusiastic assistances of many units and individuals in the process of edition and translation. Due to our limited level and hasty time, faults and shortage are un-avoidable.We ask for criticism and comments from personalities of various circles.
